Chess set pays homage to 9/11

I don’t have any info on this chess set but it is bound to set about some controversy if it’s ever released. Airplane vs. Taipei 101? Reminds me of this other bit of tasteless humor i saw the other day.

Urban farms are coming

With world food prices skyrocketing, city farming seems like the next logical step to make sure urban communuties are self-sustainable. Fresh produce from skyscrapers may not be as far fetched as you think them to be. Not only will they supply food, living next to a garden skyscraper may be an enticing addition for city residents. The idea is to build self-sustaining structures to generate more energy, water and food than their occupants would consume. Check out more mind blowing designs at the link below.

F1/Carbon GMT Watch is sadly just a concept

This concept watch by designer John Pszeniczny looks like it’s made of (on?) speed. Inspired by F1 racing, it’s also made of carbon fiber, Swarovski crystal, rubber and metal and 18 identical rubies. It also tells the time in all 18 F1 track cities.
