Do you hear that sound? The sound of millions of Mac fanboys flocking to online forums to defend their sacred cake-cutting MacBook Air. HP, whose executives delightfully cut cake with the MacBook Air, have released the Envy 133 under their Voodoo line of performance systems.

Thinner than the MacBook Air, the Envy has killer features such as Voodoo’s Instant On Solution which boots your web browser at the touch of a button without waiting for your system to turn on. In my opinion, this beauty still falls short of Lenovo’s tasty X300 which is thinner than both the Envy and the MacBook Air and has an built-in DVD Burner, which both competitors lack. But who could resist the luxury packaging the Envy comes in?

THE BOTTOMLINE: X300 for business. Envy for pleasure. MacBook Air for wannabes.

The Bubble Calendar is a calendar with plastic bubbles over the days so you can pop one every day of the year. A novel idea, but for those people like me, this calendar would probably last a couple of days before my fingers get itchy and I go on a popping spree. Available in vertical and horizontal varieties, the calendar retails for USD $29.95 printed on paper and $50.95 on plastic. The question on my mind is, do they ship this in bubble wrap?

Americans have Pie, the Japanese have Hole’d Baguettes. The newest food sensation in Japan involves hollowing out the center of baguettes and filling them with even more suggestive fillings like sausages and cheese. The website is in Japanese but the bread is apparenly available in Soft and Regular varieties (apparently ‘Hard’ was inciting too many sniggers).
